A memorial service is scheduled to be held Saturday, March 28, at 6 p.m. at the Jack DeVito Memorial Field.
The announcement comes just days after Chicago police say they arrested the man they believe is responsible. "The loss is just unimaginable," said Yorktown Deputy Supervisor Sergio Esposito. Sheridan Gorman, 18, a Yorktown native and a freshman at Loyola University in Chicago, was fatally shot early Thursday near a beach close to campus.
