At a recent village fundraiser, a resident spoke fondly of a small gourmet shop down on North Riverside---long gone---and the site now apparently part of the Tavern at Croton Landing. She particularly remembered a stunning Valentine's window featuring polar bear cutouts---and that the place had the best egg salad and crumb cake. Yes, we all remember it---THE SIDECAR! And here's that memorable "wow" window preserved for all time. The Sidecar was known for its creative window displays. Click on the photo, all rights reserved.
