Stephanie was born to Peter and Judith (née Mezger) Dahlgren and grew up surrounded by family and friends in the Hudson Valley. She graduated from Croton-Harmon High School in 2000, where her vibrant personality and unmistakable sense of humor left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
She went on to dedicate her professional life to caring for children as an assistant teacher at Sunshine Starts in Yorktown Heights. Stephanie had a natural gift for connecting with children. Her warmth, patience, and playful spirit made her a beloved presence in the classroom and a trusted colleague among staff.
Stephanie will be remembered for her quick wit, her honesty, and her fearless ability to speak her mind. She was funny, entertaining, and full of life. Above all, she was deeply caring and devoted to her family. Nothing meant more to her than her daughter, Samantha Delaney, who was the center of her world and the light of her life. Stephanie’s love for Samantha was boundless and unwavering.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Samantha Delaney; her mother, Judie Doyle; her sister, Katrina Dahlgren; her brother, Cory Dahlgren; her cherished niece and nephews, Jayden, Gisella, and Dylan; and her uncle, Thomas Mezger. She was predeceased by her father, Peter Dahlgren and stepfather, David Doyle. Stephanie was a constant source of support to her family and was always there to lend a hand, offer comfort, or share a laugh.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
