CROTON CHAMBER MEMBERS BACK LAKE AGAINST SWIM POOL

We've had this question for a long time and as it can happen sometimes, only discovered an answer by chance.  

Many---many----months ago, a now former resident asked if there was anything in the files about the "the time the village decided it wanted Silver Lake more than a pool".  She distinctly remembered her father talking about it "at the kitchen table".  We looked and found nothing in the historical society files---and that was more or less the end of it.  And then today.....click on the image.....from 1961.   It's not much but it confirms there once had been discussion.....
