Another aquatic invasive species to be aware of in New Croton Reservoir--FISHHOOK WATERFLEA

Just a reminder to New Croton Reservoir anglers anglers that the reservoir now is home to the fishhook waterflea (Cercopagis pengoi).Contaminated fishing gear is a primary way that this species is moved from one waterbody to another. The fishhook waterflea lays a resting egg, or an egg that goes dormant and is resistant to drying and freezing.
