As many of you know, FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHER WILLIAM E.SMITH A.K.A. W. EUGENE SMITH--lived in Croton in the late 1950's....he was an American photojournalist and has been described as "perhaps the single most important American photographer in the development of the editorial photo essay.
