1850 CROTON WATERFRONT MAP, COURTESY OF THE CROTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton-------our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship---in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

COURTESY OF THE CROTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY--Croton’s waterfront in 1850 when Grand Street was called Lower Landing Road and Brook Street was Upper Landing Road. The two landings (docks) on the Hudson River date back to the 1700s. This is a detail of a map of the property of Phillip G. Van Wyck.
