IN THE NEWS--LOHUD--OPINION, LETTER--LAWLER, DELVERING FOR THE HUDSON VALLEYKEY POINTS FROM THE BRENDAN MARTIN LETTER:

--Rep. Mike Lawler secured over $70 million in federal funding for the lower Hudson Valley, including $33 million for community projects.
--Although Lawler's initial community project funding was delayed due to Senate inaction, he resubmitted the projects for the next fiscal year.
--Lawler is one of the few freshman Republicans to successfully navigate the appropriations process and secure funding for his district.
--The author, a self-proclaimed lifelong Democrat, expresses support for Lawler despite not voting for him initially.
