From the Everything Croton mailbox, a request seeking online village directories for Croton 1914 and Ossining, also 1914.
Response: Sorry....I don't think there is a Croton directory for 1914 online anywhere but your best bet is to contact THE CROTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY; perhaps they have a copy in the office---email to archivist@crotonhistoricalsociety.org
For Ossining directories, you should really contact THE OSSINING HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM.
Good luck.

A reader is trying to find an article on clemency and cop-killers, the Brinks robbery, etc.
Response: Sorry, numerous articles on this subject have appeared; from your description, however, you might be seeking a letter to the editor that appeared in the Gazette a few years back and online at the link below:

Edward O’Grady and Officer Waverly Brown, along with Brinks guard Peter Paige. READ MORE AT http://www.crotonunited.org/news-views/2019/4/28/why-are-our-politicians-so-fond-of-cop-killers
