9-Year-Old Fiona Foody from Cortlandt Manor, NY, to Perform at the Legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo

CORTLANDT MANOR, NY — 9-year-old singing prodigy Fiona Foody will take the stage at the world-renowned Apollo Theater in Harlem on Wednesday, December 4th at 7:30 PM to compete in the nation’s oldest talent competition, Amateur Night at the Apollo. Fiona will perform Alicia Keys’ empowering anthem, “This Girl is on Fire”, and needs the support of her family, friends, and community to help her win.

The winner of Amateur Night is determined by the Soundometer, which measures the loudness of audience applause and cheering. Fiona, who has been preparing with Carol Arucci of the Cortlandt School of Performing Arts, is asking for a loud, enthusiastic crowd to help her shine!

At just 9 years old, Fiona has already made a name for herself. She first performed "This Girl is on Fire" at age 3 during her father’s memorial in Hawaii, where she was joined by local icon Kimie Miner. Now, she returns to this powerful song with even more confidence and passion, ready to compete at the Apollo.

The Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night has launched the careers of music legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Machine Gun Kelly, and Etta James. Fiona is thrilled for this incredible opportunity and hopes to continue that legacy.
