MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful new finds, oldies but goodies, special requests and more.

Click on the photos and links.

First up, we think the Japanese made some of the best--and yes, some of the kitschiest--battery operated toys ever.  To the right BARTENDER IN A BOX, by Nomura, circa 1950's, red face, rolling eyes, smoking ears!

That's followed by a wonderful vintage postcard featuring Sylvia Sidney and George Raft  in You and Me (Fritz Lang, 1938).

(Note the last name is often misspelled.)   Our friends at European Film Star Postcards have a fab post on Sidney here.

Next up, Blumchen's special this week is VINTAGE FRUITS & VEGETABLE MILLINERY TRIMS---these are original, old stock-heeirloom fruits, berries and vegetables from the past! Vintage production made in Europe from the 1930's to the 1960's. While supplies last; see more here.

ONE OF OUR FAVORITE BRIAN PUTZ HOUSE COCONUT REPROS; click here

THIS METAL "ROMAN" RIBBON TRIM is available at Save-On crafts and might have application for our putz house builders somewhere down the line; while it's available, click here.

So.............we stumbled upon this very basic antique/vintage/retro, mid-century modern what-not shop online called  https://1stopretroshop.com/index.html  Some very interesting things....especially in the crafting section....mainly sewing but......

Everything you ever wanted to know about lighted EL WIRE--Electroluminescent--DEFIITE APPLICATION IN OUR CRAFTING WORLD NO DOUBT!
