Romanian-born American actor Edward G. Robinson (1893–1973) was a popular star on stage, radio and screen during Hollywood's Golden Age. He appeared in 40 Broadway plays and 101 films during a 50-year career, and is best remembered for his cold-eyed Machiavellian gangster roles, such as his star-making film Little Caesar (1931) and Key Largo (1948).
