MORE FROM THE EVERYTHING CROTON MAILBOX

A reader is abit annoyed that Croton has so many hair and nail salons that do not cater to what is essentially the environmentally conscious, natural product-using crowd.  It seems to them that such a place would thrive in Croton.

YOUR EDITOR'S RESPONSE: Yes. You would think so.  But the fact is that Croton had a "green salon"--the operative word is "had"--they closed up shop a few short years ago, relocated elsewhere, and appear to have closed again. Their main website is offline.

That being said, many of the local nail and hair salons do offer some "natural" products and services in addition to their traditional lines. Please be prepared for the very real possibility that you will pay more and make your own inquiries accordingly.  Or in the alternative, you can always open up your own shop.

    1. This truly made me laugh out loud so up it went. If we don't see the humor in some of this stuff...

  2. Right or wrong, these kinds of services generally cost more, and people balk at that as a general rule.

  3. If this business had been a right fit, it would still be here, like the "regular" salons, pizza parlors and Chinese food places that are supposedly so frowned upon, but are doing just fine here!
