THE VILLAGE QUILTER #11

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Our new series here at Everything Croton--THE VILLAGE QUILTER--continues to be so popular, that we just had to share the latest quilts that came our way. As always, click on the photos below.

And now....THE VILLAGE QUILTER #11: First up, "Pinwheels" by Croton quilter Sandi R; the soft tonal qualities of this quilt give it the faded look of an antique; in actuality, it's only 20 years old.

Followed by a gorgeous primary color explosion of a quilt created by the Croton Pointers/Quilting Club, long since disbanded. We don't know much about it other than that it was featured in a quilting exhibition sometime in the 90's. Courtesy of The Croton Historical Society archives.

It's followed by a wonderful old photo of women quilting from 1953.

Always worth a second--and third visit--The National Quilt Museum in Kentucky http://www.quiltmuseum.org/
