THE VILLAGE QUILTER #10

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Our new series here at Everything Croton--THE VILLAGE QUILTER--continues to be so popular, that we just had to share the latest quilts that came our way. As always, click on the photos.

And now....THE VILLAGE QUILTER #10:

The first quilt below, "Split Log Cabin" is from local Croton artisan, Sandi R. We love the softness of the colors matched with the more vibrant blues and purples. But what really impresses us is the almost 3-d quality of her work.

The next two quilts come from The Croton Historical Society archives for the Croton Pointers/Croton Quilters, long since disbanded. We don't know much about these beautiful creations except that they were featured in some sort of exhibit, probably sometime during the 1990's.

And in case you have forgotten: March is National Quilting Month! Click on the link http://www.whyquiltsmatter.org/welcome/news/its-time-to-celebrate-national-quilting-month/
