Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our
homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EverythingCroton.
Courtesy of The Croton Historical Society's hard-working volunteers, presenting the 1980 Croton Alumni "Super Reunion", originally classes of 1938 through 1947 according to the paper at the time, but also included ultimately the classes of 1948 and 1949. We're sure you will recognize quite a few of the names.

My brother attended this one and talked about it for days. Sam was a great organizer and the best official we ever had. He always put the village first.
ReplyDeleteIn the last two decades and with only one exception, we have had mayors here who always put themselves first, be it their careers, political aspirations, or whatever. All have been less than successful and there's some consolation in that. Sam was a great man, honorable and hands-on. He is still missed and much loved by what remains of old Croton. Compared to the elitists we have today, what more needs to be said.
