Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses or worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

STILLWATER, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York (USAO) announced on Friday that Kevin Landry of Stillwater was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison in a child sex crime case. Landry, 29, pleaded guilty back in January.

Landry admitted to using a messaging app in September 2024 to receive images that depicted the sexual exploitation of children. He previous pleaded guilty in a 2020 child sex abuse trial in Tennessee, according to the USAO.

“After receiving a proverbial slap on the wrist from state authorities, Kevin Landry continued to prey on innocent children,” First Assistant U.S. Attorney John Sarcone III stated. “As this federal sentence demonstrates, this office, alongside HSI and all our law enforcement partners, will continue to exercise the full weight of federal law to protect children and impose the harshest consequences on Internet pedophiles like Landry.” MORE AT Stillwater man sentenced on child sex abuse image charges
