A reader spotted the recent post from the Croton Senior Club highlighting John Lally's 90th birthday. This reminded him of the "Fair Trade Coffee" program at Holy Name. He wondered if it was still around.
Response: Fair Trade products are much more widely available---that is, commercially--than they had been in previous years.
The last report we have is from 2020 (click here).
Rather than speculate further, you should contact the church directly for more info at holynameofmary.org

As a reader piled up her shopping cart with jars of Goya Sofrito (it was on sale and "we use it for everything", she remembered the "Goya boycott" of a few years ago. So whatever happened?
Response: The Goya boycott of 2020 is widely considered to have been ineffective, and the best available research shows it did not hurt the company’s sales in any sustained way. Cornell University Chronicle did a study---it's still online here
