A LOOK AT THE NUMBERS VIA JOHN McKEON

Artificial intelligence tells the story...the real cost increase is located on the delivery side of the energy equation in the corrupt state of New York

The cost of electricity delivery by Con Edison in New York has increased by approximately 55.5% over the past 10 years (2014–2024), with further hikes approved through 2028.

Breakdown of the Increase
Rate per kWh: Between 2014 and 2024, the base delivery charge for standard residential service (Rate I) rose from 9 cents to 14 cents per kWh, reflecting an average annual increase of roughly 4%.

Total Bill Impact: Since 2019 alone, total electricity costs have surged by nearly 40%due to a combination of delivery rate hikes and fluctuating supply costs.

Recent and Future Hikes:
2023–2025: The New York Public Service Commission (PSC) approved a three-year plan totaling a 13.5% increase in delivery rates to fund infrastructure and clean energy.
2026–2028: A newly approved plan will raise electric bills by another 10.4% over three years. This includes annual delivery revenue increases of 4.4% in 2026 and 2027, followed by 4.3% in 2028.
