Patricia Ann Vasta (Quinn) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY passed away peacefully in her home, May 8, at the age of 95. She was born on August 1, 1929 to the late Arthur and Rita Quinn (Rigney). Pat’s faith was unwavering and was front and center of her every daily life. Even during her last days, she was filled with grace and gratitude.
Pat was born in Tarrytown, NY and lived in Ossining and Tarrytown while growing up with her eight siblings and extended family. She loved to share her vivid memories of being a majorette with the Ossining VFW band and meeting a young fireman who was marching with his fire department. It was “love at first sight” and in 1951, she was married to Salvatore J. Vasta and together they were blessed with nine children. In addition to raising her family and supporting the family business, she was an integral part of the Holy Name of Mary community, serving as president of the altar rosary society, leading women’s prayer groups, teaching religion for over 30 years, and was among the first women who would serve as Eucharistic ministers. A visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 from 4-8 PM at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand St, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, May 17, 2025, 110 Grand St, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A burial following funeral mass, Saturday, May 17, 2025 at St. Augustine Cemetery, Hawkes Ave, Ossining, NY 10562.
