the reader looking for info on an "autonomous zone from *down county* and a few years back"---sorry the only "autonomous zone" we know of
"locally" was one in White Plains. It did not last long however and in
fact, the protesters were evicted July 2020.
THIS NEWS 12 LINK IS STILL ACTIVE AS OF THIS DATE---- "Lower Hudson Democratic Socialists".....the city has evicted the protestors. NEWS 12 - excerpted; they want White Plains city leaders to strip funds from the White Plains Police Department, specifically the $1 million increase given to police patrol. The group says it wants that money to be given to those hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic by canceling rents that are in default....On Wednesday afternoon, the city evicted the protesters from the field.
