AND NOW.....ABOUT THAT ROLLING STONE ARTICLE....

From time to time this blog gets often-hysterical "commentary" about COVID-19.  Your editor chooses not to publish it because...well....it's regularly so "over the top" that further research is almost certainly warranted---and far too often, the claims are eventually, if not almost immediately, debunked.  (To cite just two of many examples, remember that crying nurse? Or the insistence that businesses immediately put up those plastic barriers to protect the public?)

This is just a reminder to take a deep breath and do your homework first before publishing your thoughts.  In the meantime, about that Rolling Stone article---two of many sources available.  As always, do your own due diligence.

#1--Rolling Stone forced to issue an 'update' after viral hospital ivermectin story turns out to be false 

The Northeastern Hospital System released a statement contradicting the story--

Rolling Stone was forced to issu
e an update to their viral story about Oklahoma hospitals being overwhelmed by patients who overdosed on the drug ivermectin after the doctor they cited was contradicted by the hospitals he referenced.

On Friday, the liberal magazine published testimony from Dr. Jason McElyea who told a local news station that hospitals were being overrun from patients overdosing on ivermectin which resulted in other patients waiting for treatment. McElyea claimed the situation was so bad that gunshot victims were being neglected.   1. Thanks. Locally this was a hot topic. Glad to see that the truth has come out. In my opinion, the wilder the Covid claims are, the more likely it seems that they aren't true and that comes out!
