First up, when we spotted this 1963 Christmas ad for the General Electric Mobile Maid Dishwasher, we had to smile a little. Not only could none of us remember ever having seen such a thing, the idea that a dishwasher would be--well, mobile--seemed somewhat foreign-----conjuring up images of wet kitchen floors and panic-stricken runs for the mop. But apparently this appliance had been around since the 50's, so it did have some product longevity. One of the Elves also found this interesting youtube clip of it in action; click here.
