MEDICALLY UNABLE TO TOLERATE MASK YET BUSINESS INSISTING I WEAR ONE OR I CAN'T COME IN, WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS

Sorry but your editor is unable to be of much help.  Masks are "required"--allegedly--only when social distancing is not possible.  If you cannot tolerate a mask for medical reasons (or are under the age of two), you are allegedly exempt from the governor's "order"/mandate. You can read more about it here---but for true legal advice on this issue, you should really consult an attorney.

Good luck and hopefully this "order" will be lifted soon---as it has elsewhere.

  1. We order a lot online until this is over. Sad with only one exception local, everything else outside of the village. Lots of great options from Whole Foods, Amazon. You should check it out.

  2. Can't wear one due to pulmonary problems and my doctor does not recommend it. If a business doesn't want me and money in the store without one, that's fine. Truth is we spend very little in Croton as it is. Even less now. Get the big stuff delivered from Amazon and Whole Foods, get little things at convenience stores without it. When this is over, we may be back. We may not.

  3. Want to support local businesses but can't wear them and won't. Don't think this is even legal under HIPPA but since we go out of town to shop and get most delivered, it's no big deal for us. We're just not spending money, can't and won't, where it's a requirement until this stops. Understand that businesses think they have to do whatever it is that makes them comfortable or whatever but we have to do what's right for us and our money.
