YES VIRGINIA, THERE WAS ONCE A TRAIN CALLED "THE CROTON"

A former resident recalled seeing a postcard with a train on it that was called THE CROTON--and asked if we knew anything about it.

Indeed we did....click on the photos--a scan front and back of a great postcard, courtesy of The Croton Historical Society's archives of course.  A note in the file indicated that it was part of The Hudson River Railroad Company; here's the stock certificate from the archives.
