EXCERPTED FROM THE HOLY NAME OF MARY 10/7/18 BULLETIN: Parishioner Sean Martin has been busy all summer transforming a room at Holy Name into an oasis of beauty and calm. He made a proposal to clean up the ’babysitting’ room off the gym and make it into an appropriate space for young children while their parents are in the gym for religious education parent meetings. Sean fundraised for the project and had enough left over to contribute to the religious education scholarship fund. A graduate of Holy Name's religious education program, where his mother, Virginia, was a teacher, Sean understood the need for a room that children would feel comfortable in. He received a donation of carpeting from parishioner Tom Habib. The plaque in the room is a lasting reminder of the hard work that went into the project over this summer.
And let me tell you, it is REALLY appreciated. place was looking kind of ratty.
