A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining, NY at 11 am. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery in Croton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Rosary Hill Home 600 Linda Ave Hawthorne, NY 10532 would be appreciated. Click here

OBITUARY: Dolores Savarese Gariepy, a longtime resident of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away May 27, 2018 just shy of her 91st birthday. Dolores was born June 5, 1927 to Frank and Josephine Pender Savarese in Brooklyn, NY. She earned degrees from St Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, Hunter College and NYU. She retired from Pace University as a professor and Chairperson of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. She leaves behind her daughter Ellen and son-in-law Len Shields of Stormville, NY; her son Martin and daughter-in-law Kristen of Wappingers Falls, NY; her only grandchild Eric Lee Shields, the light of her life and her very dear longtime friends Doris and Don Daubney. Her husband Thomas A. predeceased her in 2004.
