Daniel Patrick Macnee was an English film and television actor best known for his role as the secret agent John Steed in the British television series The Avengers. My Dad was a big fan of Rigg as Emma Peel. Who would have thought she'd become the Queen of Thorns in Game of Thrones and entertain a whole new generation.
