A letter in this week’s edition of The Gazette (6/13-6/19/13), page 2, from Steve Ryan, Development Chair of Caring for the Homeless of Peekskill, thanks a number of businesses, volunteers, etc. for a very successful Comedy Night (CHOP) held on May 31st at Croton’s Holy Name of Mary. It is worth reading.
Many businesses from the area are acknowledged but we couldn’t help notice how many contributions came from Croton: The Tavern at Croton Landing, Capriccios II, Grouchy Gabe’s, Zeytinia, A&S Fine Foods, Giovanni’s Deli, Pronto Pizza, Croton Country Gardens, Croton Florist, Dave Tuttle, Baked by Susan, The Black Cow, Croton Mini Deli, Van Wyck Wines and Liquors, Old Post Road Liquors; the evening was sponsored by Croton Auto Park—they also sponsored the recent Furry People Petsitters Adoption Day. Of course Holy Name of Mary was thanked as well—the God Squad too—they presented CHOP with a check for $2,100 raised last December from their annual sleep-out. (By the way, if we left out any other businesses from Croton, our apologies in advance…just let us know and we’ll be happy to add your name to this distinguished list!) Please remember to patronize ALL of the businesses mentioned in the letter.
The Gazette is on sale just about everywhere…
