A PEEK INSIDE THE NEW ORANGEBERRY SELF SERVE FROZEN YOGURT SHOP, UPDATED SPRING 2021, CLOSED

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton -- our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

As many of you know, ORANGEBERRY SELF SERVE YOGURT is now open in Croton's Upper Village. This is how it works: you choose a cup size, choose a flavor--there are quite a few--and add your toppings. Final price is determined by weight. Click on the photos. We'll have hours and more posted soon. All photos all rights reserved.

  1. RETRO 60'S look. I like it. How's the yogurt?

    1. A friend had the coconut and loved it. That's all we know for now.

    2. The yogurts are great, they change them every once in a while, to spice things up a little bit. Everytime i go there, the yogurt consistency, taste, and price are great.

  2. I went yesterday with my husband and child. We had 2 "small" cups (it's still big). Filled them maybe halfway with yogurt and had a small sprinkling of toppings. Came out to almost $15 in total, which I think is quite expensive. I think it was 59 cents an ounce but not positive.

Yogurt flavors tried: coconut (amazing), cake batter (tasty), cookies and cream (ehh), chocolate (very tasty).

I'd go back but only once in a while, as I think the price is exorbitant. But it really was darn delicious.

  3. I think it is pretty much consistent across the board in terms of price at all frozen treat/ice cream places. Notwithstanding our president's assurances about inflation, everything has gone up. But I really do like the place and the owner's wife (?) is a doll.

  4. I love this place already. What a nice addition to the business community. Croton is really doing well these days and that's a tribute to the businesses and has zero to do with the politicians. BTW if you like 50's cars, there's a showroom filled with them at the old Dodge site in Harmon, across the florist, and the building is being worked on too. More great improvements by people who have put their money where their mouths are.

  7. A really nice place. We don't have money to go out often any more but this will make the list when we do.

  8. The waffles are so good! I think a lot of people don't know they sell them, it just started a few weeks ago - maybe they need a big sign on the window: "We Now Have Waffles" so that people driving by can see it. They also have smoothies, haven't tried them yet. The waffle with fro yo topping was fabulous!

  9. I like the waffles and crepes. Hope they make it here. Croton people are famous for wanting something different than pizza and Chinese food, yet that is what survives here.
