Society: A VERY VINTAGE BLACK ROCK, history, photos, articles, etc.
Black Rock is a far different place now. Although promised in the 1982 article below, swimming was not restored. Click on the photos below. See Part 1 here: http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2013/06/a-very-vintage-black-rock-part-1.html
Another case of the village getting a site, making promises andnot keeping them. What a damn shame
ReplyDeleteWas really a safe friendly environment fun for all tire tubes kiddy pool diving board ping pong fresh sand good hamburgers and frozen milkyways. Clean water horseflies and minnows that was what Black Rock was for those who are to young to know what they missed to refresh the minds of those who made idle promises shame on you
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about the frozen Milkyways. Almost broke a tooth one time. It sent a shock wave from the root all the way up my spine, lol!
DeleteA lesson to remember for Gouvea.
