WHERE EXACTLY was the Purple Monkey and when did it close?

Response: The Purple Monkey was in the Croton Commons; it contributed to a number of local fundraisers back in 2011 and 2012 but believe it sold and went out west in 2013 or so.

A reader asks: Wasn't there a Vegan place here?

Response: Not much to go on in your question but believe you may be referring to GOOD CHOICE KITCHEN IN OSSINING. It closed last year sometime.  (The number of "vegans" in the US hovers between 2 and 3%). There have been a number of vegan places in the area that have also closed.  The Good Choice kitchen website is still live: Good Choice Kitchen Vegan Café and Culinary Center
