WEEKEND YADA YADA YADA
Many of us are not on social media but we often get to hear about it and are sometimes sent screenshots--it's the weekend however. and we prefer to garden, pickle some home-grown green beans, and spend time with our friends, pets, and family instead of drowning in the-sky-is-falling misery and political muck. So this will be a quick one:****Those Pennsylvania measles cases: Ultimately, the state is looking at the cases through the lens of outbreak statistics (the virus was present), while local authorities are looking through the lens of forensic causality (what physically ended the patient's life as in the case of the infant, a ruptured spleen per the coroner). [1, 2, 3]
****Arday book release; dismal numbers here in the US; not much better in the UK; and now his alleged "autism" is under dispute---the autism being based only on his testimony: Every profile written about Arday—from major broadcasts on the BBC to features in The New York Times and his own Simon & Schuster memoir—relied entirely on self-reported details. No official medical records, childhood clinical assessments, or doctor statements were ever provided to confirm the diagnoses. Just not going to get into this sad tale any further this weekend.
***Lots of chatter about pigeons for obvious reasons---a request for your editor's pigeon photos---perhaps later----and the upcoming 9/2 meeting; HERE'S THE CROTON.NEWS SITE which is pretty comprehensive: EverythingCroton: FROM THE NEW CROTON.NEWS AI SITE----CROTON SETS SEPT 2 PIGEON HEARING AS FLOCK'S OWNER PLEADS TO KEEP HIS BIRDS--6 FIRMS ANSWER BATTERY STORAGE INQUIRY, POLICE DETAIL LICENSE PLATE READER NETWORK AND BODY CAM ROLLOUT
