A reader has a distinct memory of a television crew and Captain Kangaroo appearing---somewhat impromptu---here in the village---back in the 70's? Got anything?
Response: Well, we don't know about the "impromptu" part BUT we do have this from 1972--Captain Kangaroo filming an episode at Van Cortlandt Manor--go to EverythingCroton: OCTOBER 1972 CAPTAIN KANGAROO, VAN CORTLANDT MANOR, THE CROTON CONNECTION

A reader says: You had a post about church bell ringers and a local performance about ten years ago but I can't remember the details.
Response: You can only mean the RING AND SING events at Asbury Methodist; this post details the 2014 event at EverythingCroton: A BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK @ THE DECEMBER 14TH BETHEL BELLS RING & SING @ ASBURY METHODIST IN CROTON
Asbury may have other years available; contact them directly at asburycrotonumc.org**************************
A reader notes---actually complains---that there are posts pertaining to Canada and wonders why.
Response: Certain Canadian and US groups who took issue with Trudeau, government vaccine policies, mandates, etc. have developed an ongoing relationship with village residents. From time to time, we all share articles of mutual interest. Some of us also have Canadian relatives. Since these posts seem to give you the vapors, you do have options.

Got this request again ---it was answered back in March but apparently was missed.A reader is seeking info about an "old time folk music kit" she once found here...but misplaced the link. Help!
Response: You probably mean this--CROTON'S LEE HAYS---of Weavers fame----and his FOLK SONG KIT; go to EverythingCroton: MORE ON LEE HAYS AND THAT "FOLK SONG KIT"
