Thank you from Respect for Life Society---Thank you to the parishioners of HNM for the generous monetary donations in the October Respect For Life collection. We had an anonymous donor that matched the first $1,000 dollars donated, so thank you to that very generous person! About $2,000 was raised for Birthright in Peekskill, which helps expectant mothers and new moms get baby supplies and clothes for their babies.

We also raised about $2,000 for St. Christopher’s Inn at Graymoor in Garrison in memory of Matthew Sorenson of Croton.

Both organizations were so grateful. Birthright helps support over a hundred babies a year and St. Christopher’s Inn helps hundreds of men a year recover from drug and alcohol addiction. The work both these places do is outstanding and makes a difference in the lives of many individuals, as well as on a local level.
