IN THE NEWS--EXECS FROM GM AND FORD THANK PRESIDENT TRUMP FOR TARIFFS

According to multiple reports, executives from General Motors and Ford did call President Donald Trump to thank him for imposing new tariffs on imported medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Trump stated on his Truth Social account that GM CEO Mary Barra and Ford Executive Chair Bill Ford personally called him to express their gratitude for the 25% tariff, which is set to take effect on November 1, 2025. Trump says Ford, GM heads thanked him personally for truck tariffs
