MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful finds, oldies but goodies and special requests. Click on the photos and links.

First up, when we spotted this 1963 Christmas ad for the General Electric Mobile Maid Dishwasher, we had to smile a little. Not only could none of us remember ever having seen such a thing, the idea that a dishwasher would be--well, mobile--seemed somewhat foreign-----conjuring up images of wet kitchen floors and panic-stricken runs for the mop. (Click on the photo).

But apparently this appliance had been around since the 50's, so it did have some product longevity.

Had a request for HOWARD LAMEY'S "little castle" series---took me a while to find it but here you go---you can see two here, CLICK ON THE LINK TO SEE THEM BOTH, PATTERNS AND SUCH AT

  1. Our first house had a mobile dishwasher. It was technically 750 square feet with a galley kitchen. To run the dishwasher, we had to roll it out of the corner and hook it up to the kitchen sink. Better than nothing. :-)
