A fabulous Sunday morning---nabbed some beautiful tulips at the St. Augustine Youth Group Easter flower fundraiser--preceded by the best cup of Joe from Matters and.....
It was fitting that---having seen no Great Blue Herons for some time at the Croton train station estuary---one of their favorite haunts but becoming less and less so these last few years--that we spotted this beauty this morning....and especially since it was the late Bill Ryder who first told us that this was one of best spots in the village....and for Snowy Egrets too.....click on the photo below, all rights reserved. You are encouraged to get out there and enjoy the birds...........there are still eagles to be seen, Ospreys just about everywhere, and numerous spring migrations are taking place.
