GOUVEIA PROPERTY, CROTON POINT AVE. PROJECT, SOMETHING GOOD, TONITE'S MEETING AGENDA

The Gouveia Property, the multi million dollar Croton Point Ave. project, etc. are on tonight's board of trustees meeting agenda (8 pm Channel 78 or webcast--hopefully--at the village website) - You can see the agenda here http://crotononhudson.novusagenda.com/MeetingView.aspx?MeetingID=208&MinutesMeetingID=-1

Sadly, a resident has informed me this morning that unidentified officials continue to maintain that the SOMETHING GOOD IN THE WORLD EARTH SCHOOL, which has taken up residence on the Gouveia site, is not really a school at all but simply a "peaceful garden" and that it does not charge tuition.

1) You may therefore have an interest in this very important 7/10/14 Gazette letter on this issue from Croton United's Joel Gingold at the Croton United FB page: https://www.facebook.com/notes/croton-united/croton-united-member-joel-gingolds-letter-to-the-editor/323113674512337

2) Brian Powers' 7/10 letter on this issue: http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/07/an-important-letter-from-brian-powers.html

3) The Something Good in the World 2014-2015 Earth School tuition sheet (payment "in full" was "due by 7/1/14"), a copy of which was sent to the mayor, Mr. Zambrano, etal on 6/26 by email. Click on the image below.

4) The Something Good in the World website which is currently preparing to welcome "thousands of children, families, and educators in the Fall of 2014" http://www.somethinggoodintheworld.org/page.php?id=45

With respect to the multi-million dollar Croton Point Avenue Project--which has already taken parking away from two businesses, one of them new to Harmon, additional info is coming.

AUGUST UPDATE--FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, ONLY SOME OF THE IMPORTANT (AND TROUBLING)  EXCERPTS FROM THE SOMETHING GOOD/GALLELLI/WIEGMAN/GOUVEIA FOIL DOCUMENTS http://www.everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/08/excerpts-from-gallelli-wiegman.html

  1. How can anyone least of all the mayor, claim this is not a school in the face of Something Good's OWN language and this tuition sheet! Tuition is what schools charge!
