PART 2, CROTON'S DUCK POND, BEFORE THE HIGHWAY CAME THROUGH

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Recently the Croton Historical Society was generously given a large cache of slides spanning many years and had them converted to digital copies. Of particular interest were the photos of the Duck Pond before the highway came through. The TWO BLACK AND WHITE photos appear to be from the 50's, the rest circa early 1960's--it's been fun to "zoom" in on long gone details. Click on the photos and enjoy!

p.s. If you are not yet a member of The Croton Historical Society, you can download a membership application here: http://www.crotononhudson-ny.gov/Public_Documents/CrotonHudsonNY_WebDocs/HistoricalSociety
