Welcome to EverythingCroton, a collection of all things
Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in
short, EVERYTHING CROTON. We've been fascinated with "the ruins above the Duck Pond" for a very long time. Once owned by Margaret Mayo, an American actress, playwright, and screenwriter, they are all that's left of a large residence destroyed by fire. According to the Croton Historical Society, the site was also home for about a year to the Indian mystic Mehar Baba through an arrangement with Mayo and the Schloss family. The site is still privately held, and impressive in any season. Click on the photo. More to come.
