MAKE YOUR OWN BUTTERMILK

Well all but one tomato plant remains in the tomato patch---it's been a productive summer---and as always, your editor has harvested a bounty of green tomatoes end of season--some may ripen----most won't.

Now this recipe calls for BUTTERMILK, a common staple in downhome kitchens---but a bit hard to find on occasion in these parts.
