MAILBOX--SUBSTACK QUESTIONS, CROTON SENIOR CLUB HALLOWEEN REQUESTS! SOME PAST YEARS

A reader is considering her own Croton substack dealing exclusively with certain village and Town of Cortlandt issues but it's all new to her.  She looking for a simple explanation of the Substack service/platform. Also, she wonders who are the most popular (profitable???) substacks currently....

Response: Reddit used to have--at least some months ago--lively and active discussion of the pros and cons of Substack---with commentary from many current and former "substackers". That may still be around but for now this might be helpful: What Is Substack: Everything to Know Before You Start a Substack

As for your other question, there's this from 2024; not surprisingly, Berenson's Unreported Truths and Taibbi's Racket News made the list. Good luck. Many of us are also delighted that you may do this so keep the community informed please.
