I have Grave concerns regarding the development of these large battery electrical storage sites in our Community. It amplifies the problems associated with battery fires that we are experiencing in our country. As the proportion of vehicles and storage sites as discussed in this article are increased the probability of extremely dangerous fires that do not require oxygen to burn producing Toxic gases increases. Volunteers in our fire departments called to respond will place members of our community directly in the line of Exposure. Newly issued fire code in the state of New York does not even address any of these issues, including the storage of battery fueled cars under multi story, wood structures in our village
