SYRACUSE, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — An Oneida man has confessed to federal child pornography charges and distributing it over two years, according to the United States Department of Justice.
33-year-old Jacob Netzel of Oneida pled guilty on Thursday, April 23, to distribution and possession of child pornography, in a statement released on Monday, April 27. As part of his plea, Netzel admitted that between April 2022 and November 2024, he used several social networking, messaging, and file-sharing apps to distribute and receive child pornography.
“This defendant’s actions were truly vile.
