Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
We love when the Everything Croton Elves, armed with very little info, can find an answer to a mailbox question...in this case, as follows:
"My sister and I have a bet. I remember that Kathleen Beller, who originally came from here and with whom we shared the stage as part of the Croton Shakespeare Company, starred in a television show set in an inner city school some years later. Unfortunately, it wasn't around for long and I can't remember more details or anything else about it. My sister says I am mistaken. Can you help?"
Indeed, we can. You are probably referring to THE BRONX ZOO, a short-lived Ed Asner/Kathleen Beller television show about an impoverished urban school (Benjamin Harrison). CLICK ON A 1987 TELEVISION LISTING BELOW. The show lasted two seasons before cancellation. YOU CAN READ MORE ABOUT IT HERE.
