Who died this date in 1998, an American comedian and actor best known for his television appearances during the late 1960s and the 1970s. From 1970 to 1974, Wilson hosted his own weekly variety series, The Flip Wilson Show, and introduced viewers to his recurring character Geraldine.

  1. He was such a funny guy. We used to watch his show all the time. These days he'd probably be accused of something or another. But he was truly ahead of his time and people loved him.
