  1. I have been trying to tell silly people here this for years. No your stay at home can't find a job son isn't guaranteed an apartment in Croton in "affordable housing". Also this kind of housing DOES not pay its full share of taxes but usually has a pilot, payment inlieu of taxes, YOU and I pay the rest. You live where you can afford, period. I work in Manhattan on the Upper East Side. I'm not looking for the government or my neighbors to provide me with an apartment close to work.

  2. Croton officials have already indicated that our affordable housing ordinance, when passed, WILL NOT afford our locals; seniors or otherwise; any preferential treatment. Crotonites need to stop thinking these initiatives are about 'aging in place', etc. THEY ARE NOT.
