TIME TO MEET SOME OF THE 2015 CROTON VILLAGE GARDEN CLUB VOLUNTEERS

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Recently we told you about a wonderful new garden created by the volunteers of the Croton Village Garden Club at the Municipal Building parking lot perimeter on Van Wyck Street. Weed-ridden and long neglected, it is now planted with beautiful perennials and more. You can see it again--and the volunteers who made it possible--by clicking on the photos below.

But first...a message from Richard Zumbach: Just thought I would share some additional pictures of the latest garden that has been created on Van Wyck Street. If you haven’t had a chance to see it, it’s worth a little excursion over by the Municipal Building. While you are there, also take a look at the WWI monument that members of the club have planted and maintained.  Back to Van Wyck.  Thanks to Susan who came up with the idea, Molly who helped with the design, Linda and Ann Marie who had fun planting all those plants with Susan, and thanks to the three best helpers in the youth category that we could commandeer. Another garden, another step in the club’s quest to make Croton beautiful, one garden at a time.

Just a reminder, this Thursday  will be our July meeting at the Library, 7:30 in the Ottinger room. After this Thursday’s meeting, our next meeting will be the third Thursday in September.

See you Thursday. Bring your ideas for what the club can do, especially for this Fall. It’s never to early to plan.

Regards,  Rich

  1. Thank you all for what you do. As long as the village continues to have misplaced ideas of where to spend our money, your hard work is even more appreciated.
