THE CROTON POINT BUNGALOW COLONY AUGUST 1952

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Delighted as always to share this find from the days of THE CROTON POINT BUNGALOW COLONY: The Croton Point Lighthouse, August 1952--a home grown, hand-typed  "newspaper" that existed for those who lived out on the Point a.k.a. the Bungalow Colony. Courtesy once again of the outstanding archives maintained by The Croton Historical Society. Click on the scans.

  1. Thank you historical society. I have been hearing about the colony for years but never saw anything tangible before. You guys are the greatest.

  2. It seems hard to believe such a place existed at the point. Like the landfill operation. But they did.
